Silverstone and BTCC driver Mat Jackson gearing up for appearances at the Midsummer Place Shopping Centre, Milton Keynes

The HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship (BTCC) heads to Silverstone - the Home of British Motor Racing - on 30/31 August for the penultimate round of one of the most fiercely contested race series in the UK. As the circuit, teams and drivers gear up for the big race at Silverstone, one BTCC driver in particular will be drumming up local support at the Midsummer Place Shopping Centre in Milton Keynes ahead of the race weekend.

BMW Dealer Team UK driver, and BRDC Superstar, Mat Jackson has made a stunning impact in his first ever BTCC season, currently sitting 5th in the championship with one race weekend to go before Silverstone. The young driver, identified as a future star of British motor racing by the British Racing Drivers' Club (BRDC), will be making an appearance and signing autographs from the Silverstone Exhibition Unit at the Midsummer Place Shopping Centre, between 13:00 and 14:00hrs on Sunday 24 August.

Silverstone will be based at the Midsummer Place Shopping Centre for the whole of the Bank Holiday weekend (23/24/25 August) where, in addition to the appearance by Mat Jackson, a Silverstone Single Seater racing car - driven by the public on one of the circuit's popular driving experience days - Mat's BMW 320si BTCC car and a BMW Coupe 1 Series* road car will be on display. There will even be a chance for visitors to the stand to win a BMW Coupe 1 Series* car for the weekend.

A host of Silverstone's fully qualified race instructors, all former racing drivers themselves, will be on hand to provide further information about the cars, while anyone purchasing a ticket to Silverstone's round of the British Touring Car Championship from the Silverstone Exhibition Unit will also gain exclusive access to one of Silverstone's most popular grandstands - Luffield C - offering some of the best views of both the circuit and a giant screen, ensuring fans don't miss any of the spectacular door-to-door BTCC action.

Tickets for the Silverstone round of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship (30-31 August) have been priced at an attractive £15 for the Saturday (qualifying) and £23 for the Sunday Raceday (if booked in advance). Sunday tickets will cost £30 if purchased on the day. Meanwhile, Weekend Tickets, which can only be booked in advance, offer great value at £27 for both days.
