BMW Dealer Team UK makes its way to the penultimate meeting of the HiQ MSA British Touring Car Championship at Silverstone Circuit this weekend.
Last time out, Accident Exchange-backed driver Mat Jackson put in a strong performance at Scotland's Knockhill circuit; the 27-year-old collected points in all three races and moved up to fourth place in the overall Championship standings.
As the season draws to a close Jackson, who is currently a mere five points behind third-placed Colin Turkington, will not only be looking to make a strong and lasting impression in his BMW 320si but will also be intent on closing the points' gap in the all-important Independents' Championship in which he lies in second place behind fellow BMW driver Turkington.
Jackson commented, "We had a good few results at Knockhill it was just a shame that there is very little room for maneuver up there. This weekend we have the luxury of racing at Silverstone where there is plenty of room but overtaking is not always easy on the National circuit, so spectators should expect to see some close action, as always I will be after as many points as possible before we head to Brands for the final round."
Team Principal Tony Jackson commented, "Silverstone is a local circuit for Mat, and he has a big fan base that will be present, that's always a big boost for a driver, while the team as a whole will be looking for three careful races to keep the pressure on our main rivals and claim yet more points."
Qualifying for rounds 25, 26 and 27 takes place on Saturday 30 August at 15.00 with the treble bill of racing taking place on Sunday 30 August at 11.20, 13.50 and 16.20.
