Two Awards in Two Days!

Jackson wins second fans award

Mat Jackson has picked up his second fans' award in as many days after winning HiQ's Champagne Moment for his stunning drive from 13th to victory at Silverstone two weeks ago.

The BMW Dealer Team UK driver yesterday (Monday) was announced as winner of the official BTCC.net website's Fans Trophy after enthusiasts voted him their favourite driver of the season.

This morning, British Touring Car Championship title sponsor HiQ confirmed Jackson had also won its latest on-line Champagne Moment vote on its website www.hiqonline.co.uk - the second time he has done so in 2008.

Jackson achieved 34 per cent of the vote with Robert Collard (14%) and Michael Doyle (13%) next up.

It means Jackson will receive two awards from fans at Brands Hatch this Sunday (21 September) - his Fans Trophy and the Champagne Moment prize, a bottle of bubbly.

Presenting him with his champagne will be Kay Huskinson from Thetford - who was one of those who voted for him. Kay also wins a bottle of bubbly and an exclusive tour of the BTCC grid.
